Patrick George Poster

Private View: Friday 10th, 6pm

Solo exhibition by Patrick George, author and illustrator of ‘Animal Rescue’ picture book, 10th – 12th March

Illustrator Patrick George has teamed up with ONCA to host a three-day exhibition entitled ‘Wildlife Matters’ which comprises work created on the theme of animal welfare, including UN World Wildlife Day 2016 winning poster “In Our Hands” .

Working on his book ‘Animal Rescue’ inspired Patrick to create a new series of illustrations for a more adult audience for his exhibition, covering issues such as trophy hunting, shark fin soup and extinction. Also on show is his illustration to support the 2016 WildAid campaign to celebrate the first ever ‘Year of the Elephant’ in an attempt to stop the ivory trade and give elephants a real chance to recover from poaching and avoid extinction.

Patrick and publisher Ann Scott are taking this opportunity to unveil their brand-new ‘Animal Rescue’ app. Children and parents will be the first to test the app prior to purchase!

Copies of Patrick George’s interactive picture book, ‘Animal Rescue’ will be on sale, with the author present to sign the book upon request.

Patrick George says “I hope that parents and their children will be drawn to attending this exhibition with work appealing to both audiences. My aim is to make this subject matter accessible and thought-provoking, encouraging us all to help keep wildlife in the wild and sow the seed to nurture and inspire animal conservation for generations to come”.
