Power Through Paris: Climate Justice Training workshop

Do you want to be part of a rising movement for climate justice and a Just Transition to a decarbonised economy? The UN summit on climate change (COP21) is coming to Paris in December and mobilisations are gaining momentum.
This nonviolent direct action training, which forms part of Brighton Climate Action Network’s Time to Act week (Nov 16-22), is for anyone interested in taking take part in creative direct action in response to COP21. It will be facilitated by Milan Rai and Gabriel Carlyle from Peace News, and informed by a training given in Paris in September by the global climate justice group, 350.org.
It will include a brief survey of the actions that will be taking place in Paris on 12 December (see below) as well as a briefing about the legal & cultural situations in France and how these differ from the UK.
Buddying will be an essential part of the preparation for anyone going to Paris for the 12 December actions, so if possible please come to the training with at least one friend.
£5 recommended donation to cover costs. Refreshments will be provided.
