From Syria With Love

6 February 20169 February 2016

From Syria With Love

A collection of artwork by Syrian children currently living in a refugee camp in Lebanon.

The exhibition features drawings and paintings by Syrian refugee children aged 12-18 currently living in Al-Abrar refugee camp in Lebanon. Some of the works reflect the trauma that the young people have experienced, while others are more hopeful and optimistic. Alongside each picture, as well as the title and the name of the artist, there will be a photo of the tent they are currently living in, and a brief statement of that child’s dream.

Private view & talk: Saturday February 6th, 7pm – 9pm

Join us to hear stories of Syria, enjoy the artworks on display and create messages of love and support. All money raised will be used to help people living in refugee camps.

Baraa Ehssan Kouja, a student from Syria and curator of From Syria with Love, will discuss the situation in Syria and what life is like in Lebanese refugee camps. His talk will also cover some common misconceptions, and explore what we can really do to help.
