Open Call: Pride Art for Gallery Window

Deadline 2 July 2021

The official Pride event might be cancelled again this year but we know that Pride is so much more than the parade. We’re still planning to mark the event and are looking for proposals for a temporary Pride themed artwork for our gallery window.

We seek artwork that acknowledges and celebrates the contribution Black people, people of colour, trans* and non-binary/gender non-conforming people and differently-abled people make to the LGBTQIA+ community – and actively encourage applications from people who identify as such.

Schedule & Fees

Deadline for applications: Friday 2 July, midnight

Artist notified: Friday 9 July

Install: Monday 2 & Tuesday 3 August

Artwork in situ: Wednesday 4 – Friday 13 August

Artist fee: £1000 (to include materials and production costs) plus access costs

Important Info

Our gallery window wall measures approximately 3m wide x 2m tall. Artwork can also be installed directly on the windows (see examples below).

Please note that access to the window ledge is restricted when the wall is in situ. The wall can be moved to grant more ease of access and we can provide assistance with the install if needed.

We are open to the artist using both the walls and windows to display their artwork. Proposals can be for 2D & 3D artworks of any medium but please note we are unable to display AV works.
