Soofiya: (Queer) Love is Powerful

2 September 20213 October 2021

Queer love and support are powerful. This artwork invites you to take a moment to celebrate love and queerness in all their forms.

After a year and a half of a pandemic, people everywhere have dealt with much change, turmoil and unrest. Part of what has guided Brighton-based artist Soofiya, and many others, through the past 18 months is remembering that we are loved, and how powerful queer community and solidarity can be. We hope this piece can remind you of the same.

Soofiya’s window art is inspired by Pride and commissioned as part of ONCA’s Making Care programme. Come and see it in the ONCA window while the gallery itself is closed for an artist residency.
