Skill sharing session in 360 video with Niya B
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
An in-person skill sharing session facilitated by artist Niya B based on the process of creating her 360 VR video.
Niya B is an artist working at the intersections of visual art and performance. She is presenting her new work 912 at ONCA 20 July – 5 August. 912 is a 360 Virtual Reality (VR) video based on participatory performance of trans and non-binary people.
This session will provide basic skills in 360 video capture, editing and displaying, perfect for folx interested in bringing 360 technologies into their creative expression.
The following topics will be explored:
- Performance for 360 video
- Camera options
- Filming in 360
- Hardware and software
- Editing 360 video
- Headsets and applications
This will be an informal session and we especially welcome folx who find it difficult to access skills in the arts and technology. You don’t need any previous experience.
