RDLS: pollinator workshop #3

8 November 2017
6:00 pm
8:00 pm

Wednesday 8 November, 6 – 8pm FREE

The third and last of our series of three pollinators workshops will focus on sharing and shaping participants’ plans to celebrate and commemorate pollinators for this year’s Remembrance Day for Lost Species. The session, facilitated by Beckie Leach, will be free and will take place at ONCA. Please email if you would like to come, and be ready to share your ideas and help develop others’.

For inspiration, you can read Matt Stanfield’s latest blog post on the vanishing of Franklin’s bumble bee.

ARTIST CALL

And for poets and visual artists, there are opportunities to share your work at ONCA during our Lost Species exhibition, Extinct Icons & Ritual Burials: We are looking for poetic responses to the ‘junk’ insect specimens that will be exhibited alongside Katie Tume’s Extinct Icons & Ritual Burials embroideries. We are interested in writing that can contrast with the notion that an insect or other museum specimen is ‘junk’ due to a lack of accompanying information.

Please email by November 10th with your poems or ideas.
