The Pronto Series
A ‘Pronto’ is a piece of theatre, immersive live-art performance or public intervention that is created in response to a place, situation or idea. It is generated quickly, performed promptly and remembered FOREVER. These Pronto workshops are designed for artists or people who would like to learn how to make great art quickly.

Join ‘stuck’ designer and eco-scenographer, Andrea Carr, to develop and create visual theatrical artefacts. Together, we’ll dive into the dystopian and utopian imagination to create striking objects made from reclaimed materials. Works generated in Pronto 01 will be kept on display at ONCA until 14 July.
Andrea is a scenographer, performance maker and artist, with a first class honours degree in Theatre Design from Nottingham Trent University and an M.A from Slade School of Art. She has worked recently with Michela Sisti, WOW Festival Southbank, Extant, Kew Gardens, and Bath Fringe Festival. She has worked on participatory projects with, amongst others: Royal Festival Hall (Clore Ball Room and Purcell Room), Somerset House, Margate Theatre Royal, Cumming Museum, Handel House Museum, Steiner Theatre (Rudolf Steiner House), South Bank Centre Philharmonia, HMDT, Creative Partnerships, Glyndebourne and MENCAP, Opera North Discover. She has collaborated with, amongst others: Clare Whistler, Grow environmental project teachers inset day, Roger McGough, Lavinia Greenlaw, Poetry International at the South Bank, Jenny Sealey with Graeae and ENO, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital with Hannah Finch. She is co-founder of the EcoStage Pledge.
