Private View: River Story

6 September
6:00 pm
8:00 pm

Gather at ONCA gallery for the private view of River Story by photographic artist Benjamin Youd.

Set within a single location, River Story quietly observes the continuous changing of the seasons and the dichotomy of human presence in a natural environment, along a winding river. It contemplates our desire to reconnect with the natural spaces and life that surrounds us, after centuries of pursuing the ideology of a ‘dominion over nature’. Our movements are tentative and uncertain, yet slowly we embrace the unity we need to survive.

River Story is an important body of visual work for our time. Having formed collaboration with the environmental charities: Friends of the Earth, Sussex Wildlife Trust, Pesticide Action Network and The Ouse and Adur Rivers Trust, Benjamin aims to inspire a deeper connection between people and the natural world by facilitating conversations around our relationship to nature, and the environmental challenges
we face.

This in-person event offers a unique opportunity to connect with the artist and environmental charities. Don’t miss out on this exclusive chance to experience the magic of River Story.
