Nature2020 logo

2020 marks the end of the UN Decade on Biodiversity, and is an opportunity to reflect on the state of nature in The Living Coast, Brighton and Lewes’ local biosphere reserve.

A group of local environmental organisations have set up Nature2020 – a year-long programme of events and activities to celebrate and highlight the environment of The Living Coast.

The aim of Nature2020 is to engage more people in the care and conservation of local nature, and to support people from all walks of life to enjoy and learn about its richness and significance.

Please join the Nature2020 steering group at Grand Parade cafe at 4.30pm on Wednesday 9th October for a Nature2020 pre-launch networking and information event. We hope you will be inspired to get involved and set up your own activity as part of the programme! There will be information, talks, time to meet others who are interested in being part of the programme, and free kombucha provided by Old Tree Brewery.

We hope for a lively and diverse programme throughout 2020, and we need your help to get lots of local people learning about, enjoying and caring for The Living Coast!
