Mothers Uncorked: Read, Not Greed!

Mothers Uncorked

Mothers Uncorked and Guests invite you to a work-in-progress:

Read, Not Greed! An interactive performance at ONCA from 7.30pm on Sunday 18 June.

Show Premise: Due to funding cuts, the Children’s Section of the Coronation Library proposes to start charging visitors to use their services. The groups that use the space to run community events will also have to pay a hire fee. A prominent Mum and Baby group has petitioned the council objecting to these proposals and has gained enough signatures to obtain a slot to speak at the Council Meeting on July 20th. They are holding a meeting at ONCA on Sunday evening to discuss tactics. The other local groups who use the library have got wind of this and exerted their rights to be involved.

Visit the various rooms at ONCA to meet with representatives of each group before the meeting is held at around 8.15pm. You control your level of engagement. You can engage in the debate, either as a character you adopt or as yourself, or choose just to listen.

Free entry, donations welcome.
