Lost & Found Print Workshops with print artist Stephen Fowler #2

12 September 2015
2:00 pm
5:00 pm

As part of Lost and Found – Pale Blue Dot’s exhibition about pollinators and pesticides – Onca is proud to be hosting bee-themed Primitive Printmaking workshops with wonderful print artist Stephen Fowler and scientists from The Buzz Club at the University of Sussex.

During the sessions, participants will explore a variety of ‘primitive print’ approaches, including: carved rubber stamp, clay block printing (utilising reliefs created by carving and impressions of objects/surfaces), and creative surface rubbings from collage constructions.

Artwork produced will contribute to the creation of postcards to be used by The Buzz Club to invite people to take part in their citizen science project.

The morning session will welcome participants of all ages, and the afternoon will be for adults (12+).

Stephen Fowler teaches, draws, publishes artist books and is a keen homemade rubber stamp relief printmaker. His creative and teaching practice are intertwined, informing and developing one another. Read more about Stephen Fowler and art/science collaboration Pale Blue Dot here:
