Brighton Science Festival kids’ workshops – Fun with Fossils

Arctic Adventure children’s art/ science workshops with Bea von Preussen & Ellie, ONCA’s outreach artist. £10 per participant/ £8 siblings. For all ages up to 12. Under 5s must be accompanied.

Draw with rocks! Join artist Bea who has been exploring geology in the arctic circle. Make your own edible sedimentary rock and a fossil to take home.

A hands on, art based workshop exploring geology in the arctic circle. You will have the chance to handle rocks and fossils from the high arctic, learn how fossils are made and why rocks and stones are different colours.  Hear about the adventures of artist BvP who has returned from an expedition to Svalbard where she searched for fossilised worm’s teeth for the Natural History Museum.
