About Aline: Raised in a family from the countryside, Aline doesn’t know how art became so essential in her life. She has always been passionate about Photography. When she was 15, she chose a camera rather than a party. At 17, she learned how to develop films. She moved to São Paulo at the age of 18, to study Cinema. Aline had been the Photography Director of over ten short movies. In addition to it, she had directed several music videos. She has been working as a video colourist for the last 5 years. As a multimedia artist, she had created a collage collective called Confraria da Colagem. Working with collage is like a therapy for her: a way of expressing herself without a whole team, equipment and support to do so. With collage, she produces truly independent art. Aline believes that reality can be transformed, as much as the image itself – not only in an aesthetic context, but also in a social context.
