Culture Declares Emergency South East Coastal Hub Launch
23 September 2021
10:00 am – 11:00 am
Come to the online launch of the Culture Declares Emergency South East Coast Hub.
Culture Declares Emergency (or CDE) is a growing movement of individuals and organisations in the cultural sector declaring climate and ecological emergency. Its aim is for the sector to be a leading contributor to creating a regenerative future that protects the planet and sustains everyone, everywhere. CDE’S mission is to grow, support and mobilise a movement of declarers in the UK cultural sector, and to inspire and work with others internationally.
In partnership with What Next? Brighton & Hove, and building on 2018-19 WN Climate & Culture meetings and other initiatives such as Hastings Sustainability on Sea Festival, ONCA invites you to the launch of the Culture Declares Emergency South East Coast Hub.
CDE advocate Polly Gifford will introduce the project, regional CDE organiser Mike Prior will talk about the lively Kirklees CDE Hub, and Persephone Pearl will talk about ONCA’s experience of declaring climate and ecological emergency in 2019. This is a chance to meet like minds, re-ignite environmental projects and commitments as individuals, organisations and as a community. Join in!
