Climate Café

16 March 2023
6:00 pm
8:00 pm

A photograph of natural object like petals and leaves arranged beautifully in a circular pattern.

ONCA Climate Café is a warm open space where people can come together to share their feelings around the climate crisis and other social justice issues that it relates to.

During this session there will be a gentle creative activity that you can choose to take part in as much or as little as you like. Together, we’ll use natural and recycled materials to create a simple mandala. Throughout this activity you’ll be guided by facilitators to explore climate-related feelings and give voice to the emotional aspects of living through a time of ecological breakdown.

After the session there will be space for people to gather, chat and share a warm meal. It will provide an opportunity for thinking through creative ways of making, mending, reusing, cooking, eating, sharing resources or talking about community-level responses to climate issues. Our facilitators will be on hand to offer further signposting to mental health support as well as wider community and climate action initiatives in our local area.

Please note: our facilitators are not mental health professionals and have varied levels of training facilitated by Climate Psychology Alliance and Grassroots Suicide Prevention.
