Atmospheres of Resistance
4 November 2021
3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Join representatives from a range of grassroots campaigning organisations at the Sustainable Glasgow Landing for an evening of talks and short films by indigenous artists and land defenders from Brazil, Cambodia and the UK.
ONCA is supporting and facilitating this programme of art and conversation from Not1More; Zé Claudio and Maria Institute (IZM); Cambodian Youth Network; Um Outro Céu (Another Sky); Together We Ride.
Artists, activists and researchers will share films that explore and highlight a wide range of lived experience and resistance to ecologically and culturally destructive extractive projects, ranging from mega dams and logging to the construction of HS2.
Expect discussions about the specific stories of resistance, as well as exploration of the commonalities and differences of struggles to defend lands and the environment in different countries.
