Laura founded ONCA in 2012. She had previously been working for Bolivian wildlife charity Comunidad Inti Wara Yassi, caring for animals rescued from the exotic wildlife trade. The friendships she formed in Bolivia are what inspired her to explore, at ONCA and beyond, how to tell stories about environmental crises.
Laura grew up in Brighton, and couldn’t imagine a better place for ONCA. She now lives on the Isle of Eigg with her dog Nelo.
