Open Studio: Cân y Coed Rainforest Symphony & Book Binding Workshop

1 September 2023
1:00 pm
5:00 pm

Immerse yourself in Cheryl Beer’s sound installation through this creative, book binding workshop.

Join us at ONCA for a creative book binding workshop inspired by the natural world. Using sticks found locally, we will create our own woodland inspired journals to take home. This workshop is set within ONCA‘s resident artist, Cheryl Beer’s, installation – music she has composed in collaboration with the biorhythms of nature in crisis.

Through creative activity, you are invited to spend time amongst The Rainforest Sonata and listen to rhythm of the ancient trees, ferns and moss. This is a family friendly event, open to all ages and abilities. Please let us know in the booking form if you have any access needs we can support. Please note, workshops are 45 minutes long, you can book online or drop in for the following time slots:

  • 1pm – 1.45pm
  • 2pm-2.45pm
  • 3pm-3.45pm

NB: Booked tickets will get priority if the event reaches capacity. If you can no longer attend please cancel your ticket so we can make it available to someone else.

You can also drop in anytime between 1pm-5pm to listen to the music without participating in the workshop. Cheryl will be ‘remotely present’ as part of an immersive experience, appearing live from her studio in Wales, to talk to audience members and answer any questions about the work.
