The MAP Collection

12 August 201713 August 2017

In 2014 ONCA started working with the Michele Angelo Petrone (MAP) Foundation, Macmillan Cancer SupportWellcome Images and the Brighton Therapy Centre.

We collaborated to bring about two ground-breaking exhibitions entitled A Cancer Landscape, in 2015 and 2016.  We also hosted a series of art workshops for people living with or affected by cancer.

Subsequent to this collaboration, the MAP Foundation merged with ONCA and gifted us their collection of works by inspirational artist and MAP founder the late Michele Angelo Petrone. ONCA has since then expanded our mandate to take on MAP’s objective of using art to explore long-term illness. We are particularly interested in exploring the links between environmental and human health, and vice versa.

This year we have been gifted additional works by Michele from private collectors and will be exhibiting these pieces alongside other works from the collection.

If you would like to discuss booking our health & wellbeing workshops for your organisation or have questions regarding this area of our programme please contact our Outreach Officer:
