O N C A Kids Summer Art Workshop: Printmaking (Family)

14 August 2019
1:30 pm
3:30 pm

Lisboa Social Press will be making a splash on ONCA’s Barge, hosting a hands on printmaking afternoon.

Their relaxed workshop starts off with a few fun drawing games to loosen up everybody from the seasoned doodlers to the budding artists. They will then guide the group through collagraph and mono-printing techniques with two hours of curated exercises.

Perfect for the whole family, the session will have a fun approach encouraging different responses that relate to plant and sea life found in and around Brighton’s coastline. In the second half of the workshop we will use the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku, traditionally used by fishermen to record their catches, leaving everyone with a stack of original prints to take home.

It will be an opportunity for children and adults alike to step away from their screens that we’ve all become so accustomed to and re engage in their surroundings, regardless of their artistic ability or age.

Perfect for the whole family (8 years old +)
