Nature2020 Launch event – Undercliff Walk
31 January 2020
11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Join us for the official launch of Nature2020, a year long celebration of biodiversity in the Biosphere marking the end of the International Decade on Biodiversity.
Meet us at 11am at Saltdean Library and walk to Brighton Marina along the Undercliff Path, next to the designated Site of Special Scientific Interest that are our famous chalk cliffs.
Led by The Living Coast and Healthwalks teams, this will be a moderate walk, suitable for buggies and wheelchairs, with plenty of stops to observe the bird and plant life of the cliffs and shoreline, and learn about the species making the rock pools and chalk reef their home.
After the walk, join us from 1 – 3pm at the ONCA Barge at the Marina for refreshments and to learn more about the Nature2020 programme and how to get involved. Signing up via Eventbrite will help us get a sense of the number of people coming aboard the Barge but there is no need to register if you just want to participate in the Healthwalk – simply turn up!
This is a free event. See nature2020.org.uk for more information about the programme.
