Nature, travel and life writing workshop with Joe Minihane

6 February 2019
6:00 pm
8:00 pm

Join us, Upstairs at ONCA the Nature, travel and life writing workshop with Joe Minihane

Run by author and travel journalist Joe Minihane, the session will give participants a chance to read relevant extracts from writers such as Peter Matthiessen, Amy Liptrot and Roger Deakin, before giving them time to develop their own practice, sharing ideas and spending time writing short scenes which they will be free to read to the group at the end if they so wish.

About the facilitator

Joe Minihane is an author, freelance journalist and copywriter. His debut memoir, Floating: A Life Regained, was published in 2017. The book charts his wild swimming journey around the UK in a bid to conquer anxiety. He is currently researching a new project about his grandad’s time in the USA during World War II. Joe also writes for a variety of titles, specialising mainly in travel. His work appears regularly online at CNN Travel, Lonely Planet and The Independent and in print in Escapism, Lodestars Anthology and Cathay Pacific’s Discovery in–flight magazine.
