Maybe What Happens

MAYBE WHAT HAPPENS NOW IS

An exhibition of new work by recent graduates from The University of Brighton’s BA (Hons) Critical Fine Art Practice, initiated and curated by Lorna Ough.

Kit Powell // Danielle Uden // Ben Bradshaw // Jamima Grossett // Esme Charteris // Ruby Bateman // Manon Parry // Vienna Orme-Williams // Louise Waite // Gina Benn-O’Leary // Kristen Bullivant // Maria Quigley // Lizzie How // Tilly Sleven

“We no longer have studios or guidance from our tutors; we have barely even had time to sit in the sun. We are quick off the mark because we know it is competitive out there (or at least, everyone always says it is) and because we want to make! And talk! And learn! Curated in order to keep the viewers’ eyes on their toes (now there’s a mental image), you are encouraged to look around corners, on the floor, in nooks and crannies…you never know where the art is going to take place. Maybe what happens now is we’re going to put on an exhibition, then have a looooooong sunbathe.”
