JAMES BRADY: LA ZAD

9 November 2018
6:30 pm
8:00 pm

Artist and anti-nuclear climate activist James Brady reflects on his experience of visiting la ZAD – a utopian experiment of collective common living in rural Western France, which is at the heart of the global post-capitalist climate justice movement.

Integral to this, he presents a new short film that poetically explores his emerging collaboration with two of la ZAD’s most prominent art-activists, John Jordan and Isabelle Fremeaux (founders of the anarchist street theatre collective, Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination, or Labofii). Self-proclaimed creators of ‘beautiful trouble’, their work joyfully unites non-violent direct action with art.

With thanks to the Future’s Venture Foundation for generous support.
This event is free – reserve your space via Eventbrite. Donations are warmly welcomed.
