Far From Home: Exhibition Launch Party

3 May
4:30 pm
7:30 pm

Join us for the launch party of Far From Home an exhibition by Usva Inei and Bern O’Donoghue. We’re delighted to be opening this exhibition as part of Brighton Fringe 2024, the livelist time in the city’s arts and cultural calendar.

The exhibition explores migrant narratives by presenting distinct stories through visual artworks but with common threads that explore identity, borders and belonging. The title is taken from the Role-playing game Far From Home created by the Malaysian-based Game Designer Aaron Lim. “Far From Home is a game about immigrants and outsiders. It’s about exploring what it means to live and thrive in a culture that is not fully your own. It’s about how you piece together an identity drawing from multiple cultures, yet never wholly belonging to either.”

The launch party offers an opportunity to talk about the exhibition alongside the artists in a relaxed atmosphere. Gather with us to celebrate the exhibition kicking-off a month of exciting Brighton Fringe events! As always it’s totally free to attend with the opportunity to buy drinks from the bar.
