Collective Collage Workshop with Syl Ojalla

24 April
6:00 pm
8:30 pm

Join artist Syl Ojalla for a collective collage workshop exploring the theme of environmental stewardship.

We’re pleased to be joined by artist Syl Ojalla for a collaging workshop exploring how we can be in better community with the delicate balance of biodiversity that sustains all life. As part of their current exhibition, A Sparrow Whispered In My Ear, we’ll be building a collective collage exploring the theme of environmental stewardship. The evening will start with a gentle meditation led by ONCA facilitator Maddy Kelly with the aim of relaxing everyone into the creative process. Afterwards, we’ll spend time cutting out images, shapes and words from a selection of disused magazines ready to then work together to build a large collage.

This is a gentle session that will focus on collaborative practice with all materials provided. It’s free to attend and there will be tea and biscuits available to keep folks nourished with the opportunity to make donations.
