Pakistan Floods Solidarity Fundraiser: an evening with DDN

22 September 2022
5:00 pm
8:00 pm

Join the Devil’s Dyke Network at ONCA Gallery on Thursday 22nd September from 5pm! This will be an evening of rage and solidarity as we raise funds for Women Democratic Front, a socialist feminist women’s resistance organisation in Pakistan, who are supporting those affected by the floods.

There will be words, poetry and music centred around themes of climate (in)justice and environmental topics from Leni Crowley, Helen Dixon, Nehaal Bajwa and Ahana Music, and we’ll be selling some zines that contextualise the situation.

There will also be a panel lea by Dr Nichola Khan, who will be in conversation with other leading Pakistani academics. Dr Khan is the Co-director of the Centre for Spatial Environmental and Cultural Politics at the University of Brighton. We hope you can join us!

DONATIONS

This event is part of a wider events programme aimed at raising funds to support the Pakistan flood relief efforts. It’s drop-in and free to attend but donations are strongly encouraged. All proceeds will go to WDF (Women Democratic Front) a Pakistan-based, independent socialist-feminist resistance movement, providing aid to communities affected by flooding since 2018.
