Join us for the launch of Sanja Matkovic’s solo exhibition: Stolen Childhoods, co-commissioned with Sound Art Brighton for the inaugural Sound Art Brighton Festival.

This exhibition was selected from an open call for proposals that explore how people can experience sound art through senses other than auditory such as sight, touch and smell – making it more accessible to audiences who are d/Deaf and hard of hearing, neurodiverse or with disabilities etc.

Image description: video still of artwork by Sanja Matkovic. A portrait image sits in the centre of a black background. The image is an abstract composition of pinky/red curly hair radiating out in all directions from the centre and dissolving into clouds of small circles. This image sits on top of a lighter pink background and from the bottom edge travelling up into the centre a shape that could be interpreted as an arm reaches into the hair.
