Creative Activities for Children, Young People & Families

Working with children and young people is central to ONCA’s mission to grow awareness of, capacity to adapt to, and skills to care for people and the environment.

About ONCA Kids

Throughout the year we offer various art activities for children in the gallery and on our weird and wonderful ONCA Barge! We also deliver outreach projects in formal and informal educational settings with learners of all abilities. We model and enable artistic practice that helps people of all ages imagine and move towards a thriving future. We’ve worked with many local schools and artists with to develop and deliver a variety of workshops and activities. Some of our most recent projects include:

We host creative workshops held during the school holidays led by ONCA’s leading inclusive arts facilitators. The theme of each workshop corresponds to exhibitions in the gallery and key annual events in ONCA’s calendar.

Activities include: mono printing, screen printing, monotypes, sound recording in nature, stop motion animation, shadow puppets, painting, drawing, mark making, photography, kite making, banner making and collage.

‘I really, really, really, really, really love everything I’ve ever done at ONCA.’
