Cultivating good health lies at the core of ONCA’s work – using art to explore and support all aspects of human health (mental, physical and social), and the health of the ecosystems on which we depend.
In 2014-16 ONCA collaborated with the Michele Angelo Petrone (MAP) Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Support, Wellcome Images and the Brighton Therapy Centre on two A Cancer Landscape exhibitions, and hosted a series of art workshops for people living with or affected by cancer.
Subsequently, the MAP Foundation merged with ONCA and gifted us their collection of works by inspirational artist and MAP founder, the late Michele Angelo Petrone. Since then, ONCA has expanded its mandate to take on MAP’s objective of using art to explore long-term illness and support wellbeing.
