Photography, childhood innocence and natural human curiosity, are the subjects of an intriguing new series of oil paintings by Sussex artist Kate Sherman. Sherman's works depict the urban landscape along the Sussex coast and are made as if driving past in a car. They have a startling photo-realist quality that evokes childhood memories. Brighton based artist and filmmaker Beth Walker presents DEVENIR, a joyful exploration of growth, life, rhythm and renewal through moving image. Playfully blending the digital and the hand crafted, DEVENIR stems from Beth's process of creating symmetrical paper collages, which grow spontaneously from the centre to form intricate abstract designs.
