Working with children and young people is central to ONCA’s mission to grow awareness of, capacity to adapt to, and skills to regenerate a changing environment. We model and enable artistic practice that helps people of all ages imagine and move towards a thriving future.
Throughout the year we offer various art activities for children in the beautiful ONCA gallery space and on the Barge. These are mainly single day workshops for 5-12 year olds held during the school holidays. Activities include: mono printing, screen printing, monotypes, sound recording in nature, stop motion animation, shadow puppets, painting, drawing, mark making, photography, kite making, banner making and collage. The theme of each session corresponds to exhibitions in the gallery and key annual events in ONCA’s calendar.
We work in formal and informal educational settings with learners of all abilities.
