Bechdel is a non profit DIY platform focused on promoting female experimental/noise/spoken word/improv/free folk/free jazz/folk/Neo classical acts founded by Ingrid Plum. Bechdel #6 brings you this special Audio Visual edition for Brighton Festival as part of the Delia Derbyshire weekend with Lost Property & [bleep]. Featuring performances from:

Freida Abtan

Freida Abtan is a Canadian multi-disciplinary artist and composer living in London, UK. Her music falls somewhere in between musique concrete and more modern noise and experimental audio and both genres are influential to her sound. Her work has been compared to bands such as Coil, and Zoviet France, because of her use of spectral manipulation and collage.

Blanca Regina

Blanca Regina is an artist based in London that mixes vocals, objects, electronics and body mapping visuals into an exhilarating and oddly moving spectacle.

Ingrid Plum

Presenting her Audio Visual new work ‘Sublimate’. ‘Gorgeously atmospheric vocal techniques woven around field recordings & electronics’ – The Guardian.
