Matthew is a historian of natural history who is working with ONCA to develop and promote the Lost Species Day initiative.
From an early age, Matthew has been fascinated by the stories of the species driven extinct by human activity. Working on the Lost Species Day initiative has proven a great opportunity for him to use his research skills to highlight the tragedy of the Sixth Mass Extinction. Matthew hopes that Lost Species Day will grow to be a major focal point in the effort to preserve those species which remain. He runs the @lostspeciesday twitter account and is a regular contributor to the Lost Species Day blog.
