Accessibility & Inclusion at ONCA
At ONCA, we try to cater for everybody’s access and participation needs by:
- Hosting events tailored to the needs of participants of a wide range of ages and abilities
- Encouraging and working with exhibiting artists and partners to make their projects as inclusive and accessible as possible
- Encouraging practitioners to offer concessions tickets for unemployed, low-waged, senior members and marginalised groups

General access information
Wheelchair Access
The main part of the gallery is wheelchair accessible but the toilet and kitchen is up five stairs.
Toilets
We have a small toilet inside the gallery which is up five steps. There are accessible toilets close by, at The Yellow Book bar and North Laine pub.
Audio Recording & Transcription
We aim to record and transcribe as many of our programmed events as possible. These recordings can be found on Our Stories page.
BSL Access
Some events at ONCA are BSL interpreted and BSL users can request that an event be interpreted. This should be done via email at least one month in advance.
Personal Assistance
Free tickets are always available for Personal Assistants – please let us know in advance if possible if you need a PA ticket. Assistance dogs on leads are welcome.
Concession Tickets
When we are able to, we offer concessions tickets for unemployed, low-waged, senior members and marginalised groups.
Video Transcription & Subtitling
We aim to add subtitles to all of our recorded videos and provide transcripts. These transcripts can be found on Our Stories page.
Web Accessibility
We have a simple screen reader-friendly version of our website which you can access by clicking on the eye symbol on the right hand side of the screen.
