TOGETHER APART: PANDEMICS, COMMUNITIES AND CULTURAL LEADERSHIP

Panel #3: Syra Tarik, Rodrigo Vaiapraia & Yony Leyser

In November 2020, ONCA Community Artist and Curator Nadia Buyse hosted Together Apart, a series of online panel discussions exploring different approaches to anti-racist leadership and praxis in the arts and cultural production.

The final conversation featured Syra Tariq, an artist, proclaimed punk ‘momager’ and member of the Decolonise Fest collective, Rodrigo Vaiapraia, a writer and musician from Portugal, and Berlin-based filmmaker Yony Leyser. The main themes of this panel were collaborative communities and international meaning making.

Here is the recording from the discussion, which can be viewed with subtitles by clicking the CC button on the menu bar of the YouTube video.
